Help for Ringmer family

Carers Required – Ringmer

The Children’s Respite Trust is assisting a family in Ringmer to recruit two carers for a one-off short-term placement (20 hours in total).

The role is to provide support for a 17 year-old boy with severe autism from the hours of 10.30am to 3.30pm from Tuesday 30th May to Friday 2nd June 2017.

Due to an occupational requirement one of the two positions is for a male carer only.

The successful candidates will have child-care experience, preferably some special-needs experience and a child-care qualification would be an advantage. The Children’s Respite Trust will provide a DBS check, if you do not possess a portable DBS already.

One of the two post-holders will need to hold a current driving license and use of a vehicle, as the young person in question enjoys going for a drive each day and maintaining his routine is important. All costs for this including any additional insurance, will be covered. The young person can present some very challenging behaviours although he is a wonderfully natured boy when occupied by an activity that he enjoys.

Given the urgency and nature of these appointments, generous rates are being offered. Please call 01435 205004 or email info@crtcharity.org to find out more.
