Freemasons Lodge their Support for Sussex Charity

Freemasons from Tyrian Lodge at Eastbourne's Masonic Hall presented a charity donation for £1,250 to the Children's Respite Trust to help children in Sussex

We were delighted to receive a fantastic £1,250 yesterday from Tyrian Lodge and the Province of Sussex Freemasons.

We’re looking forward to telling you about how the money will be put to good use in the near future. Be assured, though, that it will make a massive difference to our work with disabled children and their families.

How the Money was Raised

Lodge members have raised the money directly themselves, which the Sussex Charities Committee has then matched.

The Presentation

The Chairman of the Committee for Charitable giving, Mike Harris, was there to present the cheque to the Trust’s CEO, Gavin Fisher, along with Master of the Lodge, Richard Fitzgerald, and other Lodge members, including the donation proposer, James Hopkins.

Gavin Fisher said: “We are so grateful to receive the cheque, especially knowing how the Lodge members raise the money. It’s very generous of them all and we look forward to putting it to good use.”

Freemasons’ Charitable Support

The Lodge’s aim with their charitable support is to assist local Sussex-based charities. We are over-joyed that on this occasion the lodge members chose the Children’s Respite Trust .

Our sincere thanks go to all of the members, who have contributed to the wonderful total. We look forward to staying in touch with them, as our plans to use the money develop.
