Ways to Support Us

Community Support

Together with local groups across Sussex, we’re creating brighter futures for children with disabilities and the families who love them.

Are you a member of any of these groups and would like to hear from CRT?

The Children’s Respite Trust relies on the generosity of our communities to make our work possible for children with disabilities and their families throughout Sussex. We are always keen to meet community groups, whether it’s to explore potential support opportunities or simply a chance to spread the word and raise awareness. From sports clubs to Masonic lodges, we are passionate about engaging with groups in the local area. With your support we could help a family on your door step.

Ways to Support

  • Charity of the year - Nominate the Children’s Respite Trust as your group’s chosen charity for the year and help make a lasting impact.
  • Community fundraising – Organise or take part in fundraising activities, from quiz nights to sponsored challenges, to raise vital funds.
  • Volunteer – Gather a team from your group and get involved by volunteering at an event or at our centre.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us provide essential respite care while also spreading awareness about our work. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch - we would love to hear from you.

Community Events

There are always a multitude of community events taking place that we would love to be involved in. However, due to limited resources, we often find that there are events that we cannot attend. If you’d like to represent us at an event, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Events we are keen to participate in include:

  • Carnivals
  • Fetes
  • Jumble Sales
  • Quiz Nights
  • Agricultural Shows
  • Christmas Shopping Nights

If you are organising, participating in, or know of a community event in Sussex where we could get involved, please contact us on 01825 817417. Together, we can make a real difference for local families.

No family should be left to care for a disabled child alone. Help us to continue providing support for families that need it most.
