Who We Help

Wraparound Care

Because caring for a child with additional needs takes a community and we’re here to help, every step of the way.

A Helping Hand

The Trust’s Wraparound Service is a vital resource, providing families with much-needed respite and peace of mind. Our dedicated team of qualified carers are trained to meet the unique needs of each child, offering a level of care that most families cannot find through typical babysitters or family members.

This service is designed to give parents and carers a break from their demanding caregiving responsibilities. Sessions are scheduled at regular intervals, giving parent’s reliable and consistent support.

Key Features of the Service

One of the most valuable aspects of this service is the strong relationships built between support workers and families. These bonds are essential to build trust and ensure families are not left to care for their child alone.

Milky Way Club

As part of our community outreach efforts, we also provide a vital afterschool club that allows us to support more families at once. The Milky Way Club takes place at our centre in Uckfield and the sessions are designed to offer children a safe, engaging environment where they can socialise, learn, and have fun with their peers.

Our team collects children directly from a local specialist school, ensuring a seamless transition into an afternoon filled with creative activities, games, and social opportunities tailored to their individual needs.

For parents, the Milky Way Club offers more than just peace of mind - it provides valuable extra time to continue working, run errands, or simply recharge, all while knowing their child is in safe hands. By enabling parents to maintain their routines and commitments, this service helps families achieve a better balance and reduces the pressures that come with caregiving.
