Who We Help

Superstars 5-12

The Superstars group offers fun, safe, and supportive holiday sessions for children with additional needs.

About Superstars

The Superstars group is one of the largest and most established at the Children’s Respite Trust. It’s designed for children aged 5 to 12, with a wide range of conditions and abilities, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Global Development Delays, and more complex or profound disabilities.

We know that families of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) often face incredible challenges. Caring for a child with a disability is a round-the-clock responsibility, 365 days a year. This constant care can take a significant toll on the entire family, especially during school holidays when routines change, and childcare options are limited.

That’s where the Superstars come in. Our holiday respite sessions provide families with a much-needed break while ensuring their children are in safe, caring hands. Whether spending a day at our Centre or heading out on fun excursions, children get to explore, experience new things and most importantly enjoy themselves.

These sessions give parents and carers the peace of mind to relax, knowing their child is safe and happy. Meanwhile, the children build confidence, develop social skills and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The Superstars sessions run during the East Sussex school holidays, offering consistent and reliable support when families need it most. Even a little help can make a world of difference, giving families the strength to face the challenges ahead.
