Ways to Support Us

Volunteer with the Children’s Respite Trust

Whether you’re supporting children, planning events, or helping in the office, every moment you give brings comfort and joy to families in need.

Volunteering is one of the most valuable ways you can support the Children’s Respite Trust. As a small but mighty team, we’re always busy, and your time and skills can make a vital difference. Whether you’re passionate about spending time with children or prefer contributing behind the scenes, we have a role to suit everyone – with the flexibility to match your availability.

By volunteering with us, you’ll be helping to provide respite to families across Sussex, making a lasting impact on their lives. Whether you’re retired with spare time, seeking work experience, or simply eager to make a difference, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are so many ways to get involved and make a difference at the Children’s Respite Trust. Whether you’d like to work directly with the children, help behind the scenes, or lend a hand at events, there’s a role to match your interests, skills, and availability.

Do you have some spare time during school holidays or during nursery hours and want to make a meaningful impact on young people’s lives? Join us as a Volunteer Support Worker!

You can commit as little as two hours or take on a regular role building relationships with the children and young people we support. Full training will be provided, though experience with children is a bonus.

Do you have skills in organisation, administration, or office support? Your expertise could be a huge benefit to the charity. Let us know how you’d like to contribute, and we’ll find the perfect role for you.

Are you passionate about planning and organising? Join one of our event committees and help bring our incredible fundraising events to life, including our Comedy Night, Masquerade Ball, Golf Day and Summer Soirée. From planning décor and entertainment to sourcing prizes, your efforts will directly support our fundraising efforts and make a tangible difference.

If planning isn’t your cup of tea but you’d like to get involved in helping at one of our events we’d love to welcome you. From event stewards to getting glam for our Masquerade Ball there are lots of exciting opportunities.

The Children’s Respite Trust Ambassadors are a special group of individuals who proudly use their contacts, influence, and time to raise awareness of the Trust’s work. By becoming an Ambassador, you can play a key role in spreading the word about the vital support we provide to families.
