We recently welcomed our Little Stars and their families to the Centre for a very special Leavers' Celebration, marking the end of an incredible chapter as the children move onto school.
The celebration brought together our Little Stars, along with their parents, carers and siblings, to recognise everything they have achieved during their time with us. Our garden was filled with laughter as the children enjoyed a morning of water play, delicious food and drinks, and many of their favourite toys, creating lasting memories with friends and family.
Every child's journey through Little Stars has been unique. Our specialist early years team has supported them to build confidence, develop communication and social skills, and grow in independence within a nurturing environment tailored to their individual needs. Throughout this journey, we have also worked closely alongside families, providing encouragement, guidance and support every step of the way.
The Little Stars team lovingly prepared a display of photographs, giving families the chance to look back on treasured memories, celebrate friendships and reflect on just how much their children have grown and developed. There were plenty of smiles as everyone reminisced about the milestones, achievements and joyful moments shared over the years.
A particularly touching moment came when Little Stars Manager, Verity, shared a beautiful poem she had written especially for our leavers, celebrating each child's unique qualities and wishing them every success as they begin their next adventure.
We couldn't be prouder of everything our Little Stars have accomplished. It has been a privilege to watch them flourish, and we know they will carry the confidence, skills and happy memories they have built at the Children's Respite Trust into this exciting new chapter of their lives.
To all of our Little Stars families, thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We wish your little ones every happiness and success as they begin school, and we can't wait to see all the wonderful things they will achieve.
