We were thrilled to welcome children and families from across all of our services to a special Easter celebration.
From the moment families arrived, the space was alive with activity and excitement. Children enjoyed a variety of hands-on experiences, including biscuit decorating, colouring and Easter card making, proudly creating their own festive masterpieces to take home. Alongside the creative fun, our sensory activities provided a calming and inclusive environment, ensuring every child could engage in a way that felt right for them. Soft play equipment added another layer of enjoyment, giving children the freedom to explore, play and simply be themselves.
A magical highlight of the day was a visit from the Easter Bunny, whose appearance brought pure joy and wonder. We also recognised the importance of balance, with a dedicated quiet room available throughout the event. This provided a peaceful retreat for children and families who needed time away from the sensory buzz, ensuring the day was welcoming and accessible for all.
While the activities were a huge success, it was the sense of community that truly made the event so impactful. Families had the opportunity to reconnect, share experiences and build supportive relationships with others who understand the challenges and triumphs of caring for children with complex needs. For many, these moments of connection are just as valuable as the activities themselves.
Events like our Easter celebration are about so much more than a fun day out—they create safe, inclusive spaces where children can thrive and families can feel supported, seen and less alone.
