The Children's Respite Trust hosted our annual Golf Day at Wellshurst Golf Club on Friday 10th July, bringing together businesses, supporters and keen golfers for a fantastic day of fundraising in support of local children with disabilities and their families.
With glorious sunshine throughout the day, teams enjoyed 18 holes on the beautiful course before coming together for a delicious lunch, presentation and prize giving. The event was filled with friendly competition, generosity and community spirit, making it another memorable day in the Trust's fundraising calendar.
Congratulations to our winning teams:
1st Place: Baldwin Boxall
2nd Place: Ian Smith's team
3rd Place: Uckfield Motor Services
Congratulations also to Allan Parker-Read, who was crowned the individual winner of the day.
Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who took part, sponsored and donated prizes, the event raised an outstanding £6,900 to help the Children's Respite Trust continue providing respite care, specialist nursery provision, after-school clubs and family support for children with disabilities and their families across Sussex.
The Trust would like to extend its sincere thanks to our event sponsors, whose generosity helped make the day possible: Shoe Shuffle, Old Town Garage Services, DT Decorators Ltd, Peter Oliver Estate Agents, Saxon Designs, Ginger & Sanders Sales and Lettings, NRG Group, Baldwin Boxall, Westways Vending and Aspray Property Services.
We are also incredibly grateful to the businesses that donated prizes for our raffle and competitions: Chandlers Building Supplies, who donated the wheelbarrow for our ever-popular Barrow of Booze prize, Mystery Guides, Fatto A Mano, Rustico (Battle), Shepherd Neame, East Sussex National Resort, Royal Eastbourne Golf Club and TaylorMade Golf.
A special thank you goes to Cole-Young Photography for capturing the day so beautifully. The full gallery is available to view online here using the password CRT2026.
Finally, thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. Your generosity enables us to continue providing vital respite care and support to families who need it most.
We're already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our next Golf Day on Friday 21st May 2027 at Wellshurst Golf Club.
