We are delighted to announce that Sharnfold Farm has chosen Children’s Respite Trust as their Charity of the Year.
This exciting partnership is already off to a fantastic start, with Sharnfold hosting a wonderful community celebration weekend in March. Families from Heathfield, Horam and Uckfield were welcomed for a free day of fun, exploring the beautiful countryside, meeting the animals and soaking up the rustic charm that makes the farm so special.
We are especially pleased to share that many of the children we support have visited the farm. Our Little Stars enjoyed a memorable day out and we are incredibly grateful to Sharnfold for also donating tickets for our Super Stars group during February half term. The children have loved their visits with plenty of space to have fun and explore.
Sharnfold’s generosity doesn’t stop there. They are currently supporting us through a toy raffle and will be hosting our brand-new fundraising challenge, the Fire & LEGO Walk, on Saturday 18th July. In addition, they have kindly donated prizes for several of our recent events, helping us raise vital funds to continue our work.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about the many opportunities this partnership will bring. Plans are already underway for awareness stalls where we can share more about our mission, including our “Adopt a Teddy” game, as well as festive activities such as a Christmas market and wreath-making events.
Partnerships like this make a real difference. With Sharnfold Farm’s support, we can continue to provide essential respite care and enriching experiences for children with complex disabilities and their families across Sussex. We look forward to working together throughout the year and are incredibly grateful to the Sharnfold team and their community for their support.
