We are delighted to announce that the Children’s Respite Trust has received a generous £30,000 grant from the St James’s Place Charitable Foundation, supporting our Super Stars service for children aged 5–11.

The grant, awarded in June, will fund our Holiday Clubs and After School Clubs over the next 12 months, helping us provide children with disabilities with opportunities to have fun, make friends, develop their independence and enjoy positive experiences outside of school.

For many children with disabilities, accessing activities and clubs can be challenging. Our Super Stars service provides a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where children can enjoy time with their peers, while giving their families valuable respite and time to recharge.

We are particularly grateful to Vikram Deb from McMillan Financial Advice, an SJP partner practice, who supported our application following his many years of support for the Children’s Respite Trust.

Vikram has also gone above and beyond to support the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. In memory of his brother, Ricky, he took part in a Pier to Pier walk from Brighton to Eastbourne, raising an incredible £1,553 for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Vikram, McMillan Financial Advice and the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation for their continued support. This generous grant will make a real difference to the children and families who use our Super Stars service over the coming year.

Thank you for helping us create more opportunities for children with disabilities to have fun, build friendships and make memories.
