Our families recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Sharnfold Farm, thanks to our wonderful partnership with the team there, who generously welcomed everyone free of charge.
The event gave families from across our services the opportunity to come together, relax and enjoy quality time with one another in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We gathered for a picnic, giving parents, carers and children the chance to catch up with familiar faces, make new friendships and enjoy spending time together outside of our usual sessions.
There was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Families loved meeting the friendly farm animals and exploring everything Sharnfold Farm has to offer. The children had great fun playing, discovering new experiences and having fun with with their families.
One parent shared "Thank you all so much for a great time today, we didn’t leave until 2.30, there was so much to explore!".
Days like these are about so much more than a fun trip out. Our Care events provide families with the opportunity to connect with others who understand the joys and challenges of raising a child with a disability, helping to reduce feelings of isolation. These shared experiences help strengthen the supportive community that families build through the Trust, reminding them that they are not alone.
