Bryce and Sam from Sussex Audiology Centre are preparing to take on the spectacular Picos de Europa challenge this September in support of the Children’s Respite Trust.
From 11th to 16th September, the pair will join a larger team of CRT supporters travelling to northern Spain to trek through the stunning Picos de Europa mountain range, all while raising vital funds for children with disabilities and their families.
Through their work at Sussex Audiology Centre, Bryce and Sam have supported many individuals and families living with disability, particularly those affected by hearing loss. Their day-to-day work involves guiding patients through diagnosis and helping them adapt to hearing loss with confidence, care and ongoing support.
Speaking about why they chose to take part in the challenge, Bryce said: “Over the years, we have supported many individuals and families living with disability, particularly hearing loss, affecting both children and adults. At Sussex Audiology Centre, we guide our patients through their diagnosis and the journey that follows, helping them to improve their hearing and adapt with confidence. We are passionate about ensuring that hearing loss is understood not as a limitation, but as something that can be effectively managed with the right support and care.
Sam and I are delighted to be taking part in the Picos de Europa challenge in support of the Children’s Respite Trust. This is a meaningful opportunity for us to give back to the community and to contribute to the incredible work the charity does in supporting children with disabilities and their families, who face daily challenges with resilience and strength.”
The Children’s Respite Trust is incredibly grateful to Bryce and Sam for their support and commitment. Their fundraising efforts will help the charity continue providing respite care, inclusive activities and essential support services for families across Sussex.
