We are delighted to share that our recent Big Give campaign raised an incredible £10,088 thanks to the generosity of our amazing supporters, ambassadors, and match funding from Global’s Make Some Noise.
This vital funding will help provide essential respite care for families across Sussex who are raising children with complex disabilities. From donations made at events like the Battle Charity Netball Tournament, the Simple Safety Advice Golf Day, and our Summer Soirée, to generous one-off gifts and online contributions – every penny helped us reach this life changing total.
Meeting a Growing Need
Caring for a child with a disability is a lifelong commitment, and for many families, it can feel overwhelming and isolating. In fact, a national survey from the Disabled Children’s Partnership (2023) found:
- 87% of parents of disabled children reported poor mental health
- 67% of siblings felt isolated
- Only 20% of families had the support needed for their child to reach their potential
In Sussex alone, at least 10,000 children have complex additional needs. The funds raised through the Big Give will help us meet this huge and growing demand for care and support.
Your Impact
With your help, we will continue to offer:
- A Special Needs Nursery, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, running three days per week
- After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs for children aged 5 to 17
- Sibling Support Outings and inclusive Family Days throughout the year
- Support for parents, helping them navigate their unique journeys from experienced

Our services reduce burnout, improve mental health and family relationships, and give disabled children the opportunity to grow, play and thrive. As one parent recently shared:
