Making Memories this Christmas

CRT run another year of successful Christmas sessions

As the Christmas celebrations come to a close, we want to share the fun had over the holidays to brighten the start of your January. Our All Stars and Superstars had a fantastic two weeks taking part in Christmas activities and getting out in the community while their parents had a much needed break.

At the Trust we pride ourselves on providing fun, excitement and a space for children to thrive. This Christmas at the centre was no different and our young people took part in personalised activities, socialised with friends and obviously appreciated some treats – an essential part of the season!

Superstars

Our Superstars enjoyed a trip to Borde Hill for the Christmas sensory trail and others explored the outdoors at the Park. At the centre the children enjoyed a variety of crafts and made signs for Santa as well as cards for their parents. For the rainier days, a few of our young people enjoyed a quiet film afternoon making the most of the comfy lounge at the centre.

All Stars

The All Stars group embarked on an exciting shopping trip around the Uckfield High Street. Accompanied by our team, the children selected treats and snacks for themselves and visited the local coffee shop to delight in the tasty hot chocolates. We even visited the Works where we collected the final part of their generous toy donations and the teens happily dished out the gifts to their peers chatting about their interests.

Siblings Club

The Siblings also got their time to shine with their very own Christmas party. We had a variety of games including a Sack Race, Guess What’s in the Stocking and Pin the Nose on Rudolph. As the group has grown, we are so pleased to see the friendships built and confidence grow. All the support for the Siblings Project is so heartily appreciated as these children now have a space to completely be themselves and leave their worries at the door. Thanks to the toy donations we received over the holidays, we were also able to give each child attending with a goody bag filled to the brim of presents.

The Christmas care sessions were designed not only to celebrate the magic of the season but also to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, could participate in the festivities. Thank you so much for your support in helping us provide this vital care both at Christmas and all year round.
