In a touching demonstration of corporate compassion, C J Thorne have donated a transformative £2500 to the Children’s Respite Trust. This generous contribution allows us to continue our mission of providing essential respite care for children with disabilities and their families.
C J Thorne & Co, founded in 1939, is a third generation family firm of civil engineering contractors undertaking contracts of up to £10m throughout East & West Sussex, Kent and Surrey. Their areas of expertise include reinforced concrete, surface water and foul sewerage, road and bridge construction, fabrication of steel framed buildings, environmental schemes such as coastal defence, riverbank stabilisation, as well as hard landscaping and surfacing.
We are profoundly grateful for the support of C J Thorne, a distinguished community leader in Uckfield and the surrounding areas. Their commitment to making a difference to local causes is exemplified in their recent support of the Trust alongside other worthy causes: Air Ambulance (KSS), Children with Cancer Fund, the League of Friends of Uckfield Hospital and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
