Cricketer Luke Wright becomes a patron of the Sussex Children's Charity, the Children's Respite Trust

We are delighted to announce that Sussex Cricket Captain, Luke Wright, has become a Patron of the Children’s Respite Trust.

Luke joins other local notable names Jayne Torvill, Sandra Huggett and Roger Daltrey in becoming a Patron of the Charity, which has a Day Care Centre in Uckfield as well as a team of support-workers who provide care for disabled children in their own homes across the county.

Luke said of his appointment “I am proud to become a patron of this fantastic charity. I hope to help in any way possible to raise funds and awareness for this great cause”

Gavin Fisher, Chief Executive of the Trust, said of Luke’s appointment “We’re delighted and very grateful to have Luke on board. He is highly respected in the cricketing world and the wider community and I’m sure he’ll be a great asset in raising the Charity’s profile.”
