Comedy is Best Medicine

Children's Respite Trust Charity Comedy Night raises £3,500

What a fantastic night it was at last night’s Children’s Respite Trust Charity Comedy Night. Great comedy, great company and a fantastic total raised for Charity: £3,570! We’re so grateful, as we can do an awful lot for our children and families with that.

Thank you so much to everyone who made it possible, not least our amazing sponsors:
WPA, CBL Fastenings, Summit Environmental, The Acorn Trust, J Kirby Electrical, My Team Safe, Athena Network and Links Agents.

We’re also hugely grateful to everyone who contributed towards the raffle including Sarah Allen, Crowborough Morrisons, Applegreen Garage, Staverton Nursery, Jane Long Wellbeing and Becki Heeley and to Graham Brooker and Wilmoths Citroen for an auction of football tickets.

Our hosts Langney Sports Club did us proud once again, as did resident compare Jim Grant. Proceedings kicked off with Geordie lad John Fothergill, followed by the hilarious Wilson Milton with Canadian funny-man Sean Collins closing the evening.

A special mention to our co-organisers and Ambassadors of the Trust Derek and Helen Blaney and a final thanks go to everyone who bought tickets and came along.

We hope you had a great night if you came along. We certainly did and we look forward to seeing you again on Friday 24th February for the next one (tickets available from www.crtcharity.org/februarycomedy).
